World Malaria Day 2005
Keith, over at Under the Acacias, has a great four part series on World Malaria Day 2005, which is today, April 25.
Check out all four informative posts:
- Part One, which explains the problem, tells us that malaria kills 1 million people per year (900,000 in Sub-Saharan Africa), traces some vaccine efforts, and links the problem to trouble meeting Millenium Development Goals.
- Part Two, which overviews three effective tools in the fight against malaria: insectiside treated mosquito nets, pesticide sprays, and cheap anit-malarial drugs.
- Part Three, which identifies four obstcales to overcoming malaia: poverty, conflict, practical hurdles, and a lack of international commitment.
- Part Four, which outlines four ways to get involved in the fight against malaria: give, join existing campaigns, pray, and spread awareness. The final part also includes some links to more information.
Thanks, Keith, for this resource and for your voice for Africa. Join Keith's efforts by educating yourself about Africa and joining the struggle to build a just, peaceful, healthy, and Godly future for Africa.

Great stuff, Steve. Keep on blogging!
